Low-dimensional geometry: from euclidean surfaces to hyperbolic knots

The  book is published by the American Mathematical Society, in its Student Mathematical Library. It grew out of my notes for an advanced undergraduate  course that I taught at the 2006 Park City Mathematical Institute.

I am planning to post additional material at this location (typos, color versions of the numerous pictures, software) when I get around to doing it. You can check this page on a regular basis for updates.

I used the book to teach an undergraduate course on geometry. The goal was to cover large portions of the first eight chapters of the book, and the course culminated with the analysis of the Farey-Ford tessellation (Chapter 8).
