Statement of Purpose/Personal Statement Review
Our personal statement/statement of purpose review service is designed for USC students and alumni who are in the final stages of writing their statements for graduate school and are looking for additional feedback.
Application material reviews are available to current USC students and USC alumni. If you are not a Trojan (yet!) and looking for support with your USC application materials, please consider consulting with your undergraduate institution’s career center as well as the school’s admissions department.
For tips on what makes a great personal statement, please review this handout and develop your personal statement according to the general guidelines.
If you are having challenges formulating your ideas for a personal statement, please feel free to make an advising appointment with the graduate school advising team or the USC Writing Center (for current USC students only).
This review process is intended for FINAL DRAFTS. Therefore, before submitting, please proofread the entire document. The team will return it to you within 5 business days with constructive feedback.
>Law school bound? If this document is intended for a law school admissions committee to read, please submit this document to our pre-law advising team via this link.
>Applying to a health-related graduate program? The USC Pre-Health Advising office is designated to provide personal statement reviews for you!
Due to high volume, we are able to accept one submission at a time. If you submit more than one document, we will select the first one received.
Please allow up to 5 business days to provide constructive feedback.
>>OUR STATEMENT OF PURPOSE REVIEW SERVICE WILL RESUME ONCE SPRING SEMESTER BEGINS.<<
