The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is one of the more popular exams for non-business or health related graduate programs.  Some law and business schools will accept GRE scores however taking the GRE for these programs is less common than the LSAT and GMAT.

The GRE is administered by ETS.  ETS offers a general test as well as single subject tests in Mathematics, Physics and Psychology. The Chemistry test was discontinued April 2023 but is reportable for 5 years from test date).

The highest score on the GRE General Test is 340 (170 verbal reasoning, 170 quantitative reasoning).  Additionally, you are scored separately for the analytical writing (0-6 points).
