On Oct. 21, 2025, the Black Studies Center hosted a webinar entitled, “After the Fire: Voices from Black Altadena,” featuring Veronica Jones, President of the Altadena Historical Society, and USC Professor Hajar Yazdiha. This was the first of our two-part series on Black Altadena, the second of which will take place on Jan. 28, 2027. Both events are co-sponsored by the USC Equity Research Institute.
