Egyptian Stela in USC collections.

USC ARC Object Identification #9469

Round-topped Limestone Funerary Stele of Senuankhu and Tekerwesir
Middle Kingdom
~XII – XIII dynasty

Provenience: unknown

Technique:  Carved sunken relief

The stele given USC ARC #9469 is made of limestone, and in relatively good condition.  A couple of places have suffered damage, but for the most part, the glyphs are readable.  If there was ever any color on the stele, it has long since worn clean, for there is nothing superficial to indicate prior coloring.

The upper portion commemorates Senuankhu.
