Biography

Evan Sandlin is a Research Manager at the USC Center for Economic and Social Research (CESR). A political scientist by training, Evan received his PhD at the University of California, Davis in 2018. Prior to joining USC, Evan was a Lecturer at Stanford University in the Thinking Matters Program, an interdisciplinary introductory program for first-year undergraduate students. Evan has published his research in academic journals such as Human Rights Review and Democracy and Security. He has also published in popular outlets, including the Los Angeles Review of Books and Foreign Policy in Focus. At CESR Evan contributes to question design, management, and analysis for the Understanding America Study
