Jen Sopchockchai Bankard is an Associate Professor (Teaching) in the Writing Program. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English with honors in expository writing from Brown University and a PhD in English with a certificate in cinema studies from Northeastern University. She has been teaching first year and advanced writing courses for over 15 years, and specializes in teaching with technology, equity and access in higher education, and pop culture pedagogy. In 2019, she helped restructure the Norman Topping Student Aid Fund, a scholarship and academic support program for first-gen and other high financial need students.
