Adam Ross
Biography
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Ocean Sciences (Biology and Spanish Minors) from the University of San Diego and spent time working as an environmental consultant before joining the Marine Trace Element Lab at USC. My research interests lie at the intersection between trace metal chemistry and its relevance to marine biology. Currently, I am processing GEOTRACES samples for metal isotope data collected from the South Pacific Ocean during GP17-OCE and Southern Ocean samples collected during GP17-ANT. Another project I am working on is helping understand metal and phosphorus chemistry in the context of marine carbon dioxide removal strategies, such as ocean iron fertilization, with the Marine Biomass Regeneration inter-collegiate team. Additionally, I assists in general lab maintenance, training, troubleshooting, and ordering.
