Pre-Law Advising

Ava is a second-year law student at USC Gould and a graduate of UC Berkeley, where she earned degrees in Public Health and Sociology. Before law school, she worked as a policy and campaign organizer, television producer, and film distributor. Ava’s varied professional background gives her firsthand insight into taking time off after college, exploring different industries, and using those experiences to inform the decision to attend law school. She is excited to help students and alumni be in the best position to get accepted to the law school of their dreams!

Bita is a 3L at USC Gould and a proud Double Trojan through the 3+3 honors program. She earned her B.A. in International Relations and minored in Iranian Studies, graduating with honors as a Global and Discovery Scholar. In undergrad, she was active in Moot Court, the Society of Women in Law, and Glimpse from the Globe. For 2L year, she’ll serve as President of the Womxn of Color Collective, extern with a federal judge, and participate in the USC Mediation Clinic. Bita enjoys helping students navigate and personalize their own law school journeys.

Lina is a second-year JD student at USC Gould with an interest in environmental law. This past summer, she worked at Los Angeles Waterkeeper, focusing on water and energy law and policy. She earned her undergraduate degree in journalism from UT Austin. Before attending law school, Lina spent three years working in nonprofit fundraising. She is excited to help others navigate the law school application process!

As the manager of the Pre-Law and Graduate School Advising program, Jen oversees advising for students and alumni pursuing law or graduate school, coordinates programming and resources, and maintains the program’s website and Handshake presence. She also organizes the annual Law School Fair to build connections between Trojans and law schools.

Jen is passionate about helping students and alumni learn how to navigate their undergraduate experiences with confidence. She appreciates the opportunity to build working relations with students and alumni to help support them toward success in higher education and beyond.  Through collaboration across campus, she focuses on creating meaningful learning experiences that open doors while helping people reach their goals.

She holds a special commitment in her heart for supporting first-generation students.
