Priority deadline for application is September 15, 2023. Letters of recommendation may arrive after the deadline.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis after the deadline until all spots are filled. However, to maximize one’s chances for acceptance, students should apply as soon as possible.

- Enrollment at USC (main campus) semester prior (or waiver from Director)
- 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher
- Completed at least two semesters in residence at USC [recommended but not required]

Complete the work, study, play questionnaire
These brief questions will help us learn a little more about you in terms of the intersection of work, study, and play.
Submit a resume
Include education, relevant coursework, honors and awards, work experience, volunteer experience, and extracurricular activities.
Include your STARS Report
Please provide a scanned or pdf version of your STARS report.
Submit a short writing sample
Attach a writing sample no longer than 3 pages that is analytical in nature. You may use a paper previously submitted for a class, or write a new short paper. You may use an excerpt from a longer paper.
Complete the health, safety, and security information
The information in this section will be used to for security purposes when trying to visit government facilities and for some health and safety reasons.
Obtain one faculty recommendation
Provide this form to your recommender.
Recommendations should be completed by a USC faculty member and submitted 2-3 weeks after submitting your application.
