Social Impact Professional

Sivakami “Sivi” Ananthasingam is a social impact leader with nearly a decade of experience fusing business strategy with meaningful community impact. She currently serves as manager of corporate social responsibility at Prudential, where she’s expanding access to retirement security and financial well-being.

Previously, Ananthasingam worked at the Taproot Foundation, which connects volunteers with nonprofits. She designed and scaled high‑impact pro-bono programs across the United States and globally, and planned the IGNITE Summit, a national conference convening nonprofit leaders, creatives, and change makers.

At USC Dornsife, Ananthasingam studied neuroscience on a pre-med track and discovered an interest in how biology shapes human behavior. A favorite class, she says, was BISC 423 “Epilepsy to Ecstasy: Biological Basis of Neurological Disorders” taught by Professor of Biological Sciences Michael Quick. “This class was on Fridays at 8 am during my senior year, but I would do it all over again if given the chance,” she says.

Following graduation, she realized she could improve lives in ways that extend beyond clinical care, and earned an M.S. in Social Entrepreneurship at the USC Marshall School of Business. She encourages students to  “embrace opportunities to stretch beyond your comfort zone, whether by learning new skills or taking on projects outside your usual scope.”
