Background
Makayla is a third-year undergraduate student studying Cognitive Science at the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences and is passionate about exploring the intersection of human interaction and technology. She assists in the coordination of digital communication, alumni programming, and events. In her spare time, she loves to go to the beach, watch movies, and explore museums throughout the surrounding area of Los Angeles.
Why USC
Unique to USC are the students who remarkably balance the scales of their strengths in arts, academics, and athletics. It is not a complete desire to maintain them all, but rather an intrinsic drive for their strengths to complement each other. Many times I am so astonished by the endeavors and interdisciplinary studies of the students, as well as the unmatched support of faculty here on campus. The resources at my disposal have made all the difference in navigating the endless opportunities in pursuing my education and the lasting connections that await me in the Trojan Family give me the utmost confidence in pursuing my professional career in the future.
Favorite Spot on Campus
My favorite spot on campus is the Dr. Joseph Medicine Crow Center Library for International & Public Affairs because it is a smaller and quieter library on campus with nap pods and couches that are a perfect place to stop by between classes to rest.
