The Chowdhury Prize in Literature and the Distinguished Speakers Series

The Chowdhury Prize in Literature and the Distinguished Speakers Series, developed in collaboration with the Subir & Malini Chowdhury Foundation, are part of a substantial set of initiatives by USC Dornsife and the Department of English to develop robust literary and publishing programming at the University of Southern California. They join Gold Line Press and Ricochet Editions, the presses published by the Ph.D in Creative Writing Program, and Air/Light, the digital literary quarterly launched by the department in Fall 2020. Together, these programs showcase California as not merely a regional or national literary center, but an international one, with an aesthetic and perspective all its own.
