Bridge Across the Midway: School and the Law School Admissions Process

Dickerson Chapter of the Black Law Students Association and the University of Chicago Law School Admissions Team to learn more about law school and the law school admissions process in a virtual discussion. The University of Chicago Law School is located across the Midway Plaisance from the undergraduate campus. Students considering law school often talk about going “across the Midway” to the Law School. Join them on Zoom to hear from law school admissions and current law students. Spring 2023 Recent Graduates & Students Career Fair
Thursday, April 13 | 10 AM - 2 PM | Trousdale Parkway
The fair connects juniors, seniors, master’s students, and doctoral candidates, as well as recent graduates (up to three years out) with employers from a variety of industries just in time for the summer. Employer tables are organized alphabetically by organization name. All types of organizations attend our Career Fairs, from Fortune 100s to non-profits and government agencies. The USC Recent Graduates and Students Career Fair is an outdoor event taking place on Trousdale Parkway, rain or shine. Register here.
Creating Your LSAT Study Plan

The LSAT is unlike any other test out there. Do you know how to prepare for it? The Kaplan Test Prep team will go over how much time you’ll need to set aside for LSAT prep and how to build a specific study plan that fits your schedule. The Kaplan team will also talk about how to practice and review the most effectively to see the score increase you’re looking for.

Latinx Graduate Student Association (LGSA), in collaboration with GPAC & PLSA, is proud to host Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard on campus for a conversation with USC students. For nearly 30 years, she has advocated and fought for the Latino community in the Los Angeles Area. Her track record as the first Mexican American woman elected to Congress, the first Latina chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and an original co-author of the DREAM Act is an inspiration to students at USC. The USC Pre-Law Advising team provides resources including advising, application material review, events, and educational materials designed to support students and alumni preparing for law school.

After personally proofreading your personal statement for grammar and content using the handout as a guide, submit the final draft for review. The pre-law advising team will return it to you within 5 days with constructive feedback.

Aeverie Polintan: BIO: Aeverie is a current 2L Honors Scholar at USC Gould, and is an aspiring litigator. She attended Northeastern University and graduated with a BS in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. Aeverie is thrilled to be part of the Career Pathways team as a pre-law advisor, and is loves leveraging her personal experience to help other students navigate the law school admissions process.
Briana Niu: BIO: Briana is a current 2L student at USC Gould with an interest in patent law. She graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and a minor in History. Prior to attending law school, Briana worked in IT consulting. Briana is excited to support the Career Pathways team as a pre-law advisor and enjoys helping students figure out how to navigate their own unique paths to law school.
