Many of USC’s holdings — from paintings and one-of-a-kind stained glass to sculptures and black-and-white photography — are free for the public to visit. The USC University Park Campus is on L.A.’s museum alley in Exposition Park.
USC Fisher Museum of Art
Opened on the University Park Campus in 1939, the museum maintains a permanent collection of artwork ranging from old-master paintings to contemporary works and works on paper.
USC Pacific Asia Museum
Established in 1971 in Pasadena, California, the museum is one of few U.S. institutions dedicated to the arts and culture of Asia and the Pacific Islands. The museum’s mission is to further intercultural understanding through the arts of Asia and the Pacific Islands.
Hancock Memorial Museum
Located in the Allan Hancock Foundation Building at the University Park Campus, the museum comprises four public rooms preserved from the original Hancock mansion located at Vermont Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard. Visits are by appointment only.
USC Libraries Special Collections
USC Libraries Special Collections. The Department of Special Collections at the University of Southern California oversees rare books, manuscripts, archives, and historic photographs. It contains more than 200,000 volumes, more than 1000 archival collections, and more than 2 million photographs.
ONE National Gay & Lesbian Archives at the USC Libraries
ONE Archives at the USC Libraries is the largest repository of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) materials in the world. Founded in 1952, ONE Archives houses millions of archival items including periodicals, books, films, videos, audio recordings, photographs, artworks, organizational records, and personal papers. ONE Archives has been a part of the University of Southern California Libraries since 2010.
