During this year’s Industry Day Poster Competition, Thabassum won 3rd place for his work on “Revealing the Spin-Orbit Coupling in Thermally Assisted Delayed Fluorescence of Carbene-Metal-Amides”. Not only that, he went on to also win the poster prize for the Stauffer Graduate Student Poster Extravanganza in the following week! Good work Thabassum.
Continuing the Stauffer award train, Jose Godinez-Castellanos was also awarded the Mikhail Vinaykin Award for excellence in research meriting travel to a premier conference. Jose is also posed to defend his dissertation soon. He is going on to do great things very soon. Great job and good luck, Jose.
Lastly, Brandon Young won the Michael Dulligan Graduate Student Award in recognition of outstanding graduate student research in physical chemistry. In the words of the great Curt Wittig, “he is unique”.
