Summary Statement of Research Interests
My research focuses on the role of music in human development over the lifespan, emotion, and physiology. My long-term research interests center around the role of music in evoking memories and highly affective states such as nostalgia, the representation of nostalgic music in the brain, and how nostalgia-evoking music can be used to improve memory function and psychological outcomes in older adults with neurodegenerative diseases.
