Biography
Olivia V. Martínez is a full-time Lecturer in the American Language Institute at the University of Southern California (USC), where she has taught and designed courses. Prior to that, she served as Lecturer in the ESL Service Courses at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Academic English Program at the University of California in Irvine (UCI). She has taught a wide spectrum of English as a second language classes in various institutions: public schools, private professional settings, and academic institutions. Her fields of expertise are content-based instruction, teaching pronunciation, grammar, and the use of instructional technology in language teaching. Other interests include cross-cultural studies and learning, learning and motivation theory, and music.
