Nicholas De Dominic

Biography

Nik De Dominic is Professor (Teaching) and Director of the USC Writing Program. He is the author of Goodbye Wolf (The Operating System, 2020) and Your Daily Horoscope (New Michigan Press, 2015). Work has appeared in Guernica, Los Angeles Review, DIAGRAM, The Conversation, and other publications. He is a founding editor of The Offending Adam and Poetry Editor of New Orleans Review. With Professor Kate Levin, De Dominic co-founded and co-directs the USC Dornsife Prison Education Project, which develops educational opportunities for incarcerated and systems-impacted people and works to challenge larger narratives around incarceration. His teaching and scholarship focus on writing, medical humanities, justice, and access in higher education. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) from the University of Alabama, where he was an Alabama Prison Arts + Education Fellow, and a Doctor of Social Work from the University of Southern California.
