Melissa Tamayo

Melissa Tamayo is the Program Advisor for the Writing Program. She specializes in course registration procedures (providing d-clearances to special sections), processes grade changes, advises students on writing-related courses, and supports the Writing Program faculty and staff year-round.

Prior to her role at USC, Melissa has served in multiple higher education, post-secondary institution, and non-profit organizations, having provided an array of supportive services to first-generation students, justice-impacted students, and students who’ve experienced extreme barriers to access and success.
