EL.5 – Conductivity of a Solution

A light bulb has two long electrodes attached to its socket. The bulb is plugged into the wall (115 V AC). When the two electrodes are immersed in distilled water, no current flows. If salt is added to the water, current will start to flow and the bulb will light up.
