About Me

I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Southern California. I received my BA in Philosophy from the University of Toronto and my PhD in Philosophy from Rutgers University. My research is mainly in ethics, epistemology, and practical reason.

Research Summary

I’m interested in philosophical questions about normativity. These include questions about what we should do, what we should think, and what we should feel. These include questions about rationality as well as questions about morality. And these include both first-order questions about how to specify the relevant norms, as well as higher-order questions about the nature, source, and knowability of these norms.
