Yavonna Morris

Yavonna Morris is Senior Counsel, Transactional Law of Hyundai Motor America/Genesis Motor America where she provides legal support and advice to the Customer Experience and After-Sales departments and the North American Safety Office on a broad range of corporate/business law matters and commercial transactions and agreements. Morris’ legal background extends to mergers and acquisitions, general corporate, employment, consumer privacy, licensing, financial lending, advertising, and bankruptcy matters.

Morris is a Los Angeles native and proud alumna of Crenshaw High School.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Minor in Law and Society, from USC in 2003 and Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in 2006.

Morris has been an active volunteer of various non-profit organizations including the John M. Langston Bar Association, Circle of Friends Foundation, and most recently, Loyola Law School’s Transactional Lawyering Institute. She is also involved in community outreach initiatives at Hyundai and is Past Chair of Hyundai’s African American employee resource group.  Morris has been a USC Dornsife Alumni Advisory Council member since its formation.

She is a proud mom of twins and the wife of Jay Morris, Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach, USC.
