Biography

Dr. Michael Petitti is an Associate Professor (Teaching) in the Thematic Option Honors Program. In Thematic Option, Dr. Petitti teaches courses on food, film, cultural studies, and writing. Dr. Petitti also works with USC’s JEP (Joint Educational Project) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s Service-Learning and Leadership Office for a summer exchange program about food justice in Hong Kong and Los Angeles. Finally, he has taught film studies and creative non-fiction courses about food for the Prison Education Project (PEP).
