Los Angeles Theater

Broadway, between 6th and 7th streets

A Baroque motion-picture palace designed by S.Charles Lee working with S.Tilden Norton. It was patterned after the Fox Theatre in San Francisco. Twin Corinthian columns frame the central notched arch. According to Gebhard and Winter, it is probably the finest theater building in Los Angeles. Today it hosts special events, including the Los Angeles Conservancy's Last Remaining Seats annual fundraiser.
