Graduates Studying East Asia

Graduates Studying East Asia (GSEA) is the organization of students at the University of Southern California who work on East Asia.

Affiliated with the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, we are an academic and social events community for all USC graduate students who study East Asia. Our mission is to explore and promote discussion of issues related to the academic field of East Asian Studies and to help those interested in the field to get to know one another better outside of the classroom and library.

Founded in 2010 by graduate students of the East Asian Languages and Cultures Department, we actively support our members through group social events, facilitation of professionalization activities including mock presentations and job talks, reading groups, and the planning of a graduate student conference.

To find out more information and become a member of our organization, send an email to Seoyeon Lee (slee7053@usc.edu) or Lillian Ngan (lngan@usc.edu)
