The New Black: African Americans and the Gay Rights Struggle

The New Black follows the African-American community and its members’ grappling with the gay rights issue and same-sex marriage legislation.

Through the stories of activists, families, and clergy on both sides of the debate, The New Black charts the evolution of this divisive issue within the black community – a constituency with deep church roots, significant voting power, and changing social attitudes and realities.
