Description:

This year marks the 125th anniversary of the birth of California poet Robinson Jeffers and the 50th anniversary of his death in Carmel. Jeffers' literary and historical roots extend across the Golden State. Before settling in Carmel, he took an undergraduate degree at Occidental College and studied literature and medicine at the University of Southern California. Celebrating Robinson Jeffers is an afternoon festival held at USC's Doheny Memorial Library, featuring discussions and presentations on Jeffers and the art of the book, rare Jeffers manuscripts and photographs, and his relationship to the natural world and California's literary legacy.

The festival is free and open to the public.
