Trinie Dalton has authored, edited, and/or curated six books. Her prose includes Wide Eyed (Akashic), Sweet Tomb (Madras Press), and Baby Geisha (Two Dollar Radio). Her art compilations include Dear New Girl or Whatever Your Name Is (McSweeney’s), a collaboration between fifty artists, and Mythtym (Picturebox) an art/fiction anthology.
Dalton also writes about art, books, music, and frequently contributes to artists’ book projects. She has written for numerous magazines and writes critical essays for artists’ monographs and exhibition catalogues. Her journalism is sampled on www.sweettomb.com. She has teaching experience in fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, critical writing, art criticism, and artists’ book courses with an emphasis on independent publishing in schools including: Vermont College of Fine Arts, School of Visual Arts, Columbia University, Bard College, Art Center College of Design, NYU, and Pratt Institute. At USC, she teaches undergraduate creative writing as well as various MPW graduate electives including The Fairy Tale. As a storyteller defined broadly, Dalton’s interest in cross-disciplinary thinking influences her teaching of storytelling craft.
