The Van Hunnick History Department at USC Dornsife uncovers new knowledge about the history of the world, the evolution of society, and the events that have defined humanity. From the cultural and intellectual history of the Middle Ages to the African diaspora to the migration patterns of Syrian Americans, USC Dornsife historians expand what we know about the past and why it matters. Students in the department receive engaged, focused mentoring from world-renowned faculty and have numerous opportunities to dive into research in the U.S. and around the world.
