Anthropology

From the first formation of family groups in prehistoric times to the immigrant-led food scene of Los Angeles, the USC Dornsife Department of Anthropology explores humankind in all of its complexity across time and culture. Students learn alongside experts in folklore, science and technology, social medicine, experimental ethnography, and ethnographic filmmaking — subjects that help us look at issues from new points of view while also highlighting the collective ingenuity and interdependence of our human experience.
