However, the impacts of rising sea level and extreme weather threaten not only our treasured beaches but also housing and critical infrastructure along the coast, including power plants, sewage treatment plants, and two of the busiest ports in the U.S. Planning for the impacts of environmental change and building resilience in communities is a priority for the region. To fully understand the impacts of environmental change and how they can inform regional planning policies requires a link between the best available scientific tools and local governments.<\/p>\n<p>Explore the topics below to learn more about how USC Sea Grant is involved with building resilience and other coastal issues.
