Sustainable Seafood & Fisheries Science

Commercial and recreational fishing have always been important to Southern California's economy and as a local source of protein for southern California residents. Fisheries science continues to be an important way to understand fish biology and ecology, which helps managers sustainably manage catch limitations, seasons and gear.
