Bioanalyzer

The Bioanalyzer 2100 is a chip-based capillary electrophoresis instrument for the analysis of DNA and RNA samples. It is used to determine the size distribution of a collection of molecules. In the case of RNA, it is also used to assess the level of degradation based on the estimated RIN number. At the USC Genome Core, we run bioanalyzer on all RNA samples before library preparation, and on all libraries before sequencing. We also offer the bioanalyzer as a service. If you want to run your DNA or RNA samples, please fill the appropriate form and bring it alone with the samples.
