The Interdisciplinary Studies major presents a special opportunity for students to take advantage of USC's strengths in the professions and the liberal arts by designing an individual program of study that intersects between traditional majors.
It is intended for students with superior academic records and excellent writing skills who have a focused idea of a curriculum that would be most meaningful to them.
Prospective students cannot apply directly to this major. We recommend that prospective students interested in this major apply to one of the majors they would like to study through the Interdisciplinary Studies program. After beginning their coursework at USC they can apply to this major, and if accepted, may be able to count some of their major coursework toward the requirements for an Interdisciplinary Studies degree.
