The Department of Earth Sciences at USC Dornsife strives to answer essential questions about Earth systems and train new thinkers in this field that encompasses climate science, chemistry, biology, and geology. Students work with leading experts studying everything from the human impact on the climate to microorganisms living in extreme habitats. And with many ways to learn by doing through internships and research opportunities, students are able to build skills and find real-world solutions to some of our most pressing global challenges.
