At USC Dornsife, archaeology students and scholars investigate the totality of the human experience by studying the material remains that people leave behind. Students gain deep knowledge by engaging in lab experiences and fieldwork while also learning alongside leading experts whose work includes excavations of ancient Roman amphitheaters, research of Mayan palace complexes, and understanding the relationship that Indigenous people have with the unique ecosystem of Catalina Island.
