Welcome to USC Sociology\u2019s Undergraduate Programs!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The sociology department is proud to host three majors: <\/span>Health and Human Sciences<\/a>, NGOs and Social Change<\/a>, and our flagship Sociology<\/a> major.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our majors allow you to see the interconnections between politics, culture, economics, power structures, social inequalities, and the practices of everyday life. The greater Los Angeles area provides a natural laboratory for studying race relations, work and the workplace, the family in a changing society, immigration, civic engagement, and the criminal legal system.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our students engage in original research: in our upper-division courses<\/a>, on faculty-led research projects<\/a>, or as part of our honors program<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our graduates work in a variety of fields, ranging from nonprofit leadership, public policy, law, data analysis, medicine, education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, business, and marketing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our interdisciplinary majors enable you to take courses in a variety of departments.<\/em><\/h4>\n

Within our <\/span>Health and Human Sciences<\/b><\/a> major you learn about the human and broader contexts of health and the organizations which deliver health care, vital issues for health professions such as medicine, dentistry, epidemiology, and public health.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n
