Scribe stands uniquely as an entirely student-operated online academic journal, born from USC\u2019s Dornsife College of Letters, Arts & Sciences. Scribe strives to exhibit diversity and academic excellence through its publications, showcasing the finest literary and academic works penned by USC students. In so doing, it has accrued a readership in the thousands.<\/p>\n

We, the editors of Scribe, are undergraduate students of USC who represent different colleges, majors, and interests. Nevertheless, we are joined together by our mutual respect for pertinent issues and our love for the written word. We seek to present the contents of this journal so that the unique blend of Trojan and Los Angeles culture shines through every word. Scribe has been extending its reach far beyond the University of Southern California campus since it was founded in the spring of 2004. Most of the articles published by Scribe originate from Writing 340: Advanced Writing, a course that satisfies USC\u2019s upper-division writing requirement. We thank Dornsife faculty for sending us the work of some their most talented and thoughtful students.<\/p>\n

Scribe also warmly welcomes submissions of other varieties\u2014both visual and literary\u2014for consideration, as we aspire to publish submissions from nearly every college discipline and point of interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n
