Ailene Huang
Ailene Huang joined the Pre-Health Office in Fall of 2022. She is a double Trojan graduate having obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from USC Dornsife in East Asian Languages and Cultures and her Master of Education from USC Rossier in Educational Counseling. She is passionate about supporting students in their academic and life journey through helping them find their voice, cultivate their curiosities, and develop in a holistic manner. She has lived in Taiwan, Australia, and China, and enjoys exploring the various natural landscapes of California.

Esteban Ascencio
Esteban Ascencio joined the Pre-Health Advising office in late Spring of 2023. He started as a Community College student at Pasadena City College and worked his way up to transfer and graduate from UC San Diego with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology-American Studies. He is driven to assist all students reach their full potential and find success in their undergraduate experience and beyond. He looks forward to partnering with Pre-Health students and guiding them through the many health professional school expectations. He is from El Monte, CA and is a fanatic of LA sports, more specifically basketball.

Rebeca Diaz
Rebeca Diaz joined the Pre-Health Advisement Office Fall 2023. Rebeca uses she/her/they/them pronouns and uses them interchangeably. They were very involved as a student during their undergraduate years at Cal State LA. She then completed her Masters in Education in Post-secondary Administration & Student Affairs program at USC Rossier. Rebeca has worked in higher education for over 8 years in admissions, financial aid, and student support services. She strives to ensure students are developed holistically during and beyond college by providing ample resources and support to facilitate academic, personal and professional growth. They also enjoy going to concerts, dog sitting, thrift shopping and attending LGBTQIA+ community events in Long Beach!
