Do you have a passion for creative expression? Are you interested in showcasing your eye for talent and building your r\u00e9sum\u00e9?<\/p>\n<p>Palaver Arts Magazine is excited to announce openings for two new <strong>Poetry Editors!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Poetry Editors<\/strong> will collaborate to receive, review, and edit original student submissions for our magazine, which is published online twice a year.<\/p>\n<p>Editorial positions require an initial <strong>year-long commitment<\/strong> with the possibility of staying on for future years. Our editorial board meets every 2-3 weeks and hosts at least two events each semester. All new editors will be asked to attend these meetings and help support our programming.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>If you\u2019re interested in applying for an editorial role<\/strong>, send the following to <a href=\"mailto:palaver.arts.magazine@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">palaver.arts.magazine@gmail.com<\/a> with the role you&#8217;re applying for in the subject line:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">a r\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">a brief description of why you\u2019re interested in being an Editor with Palaver and an explanation of any pertinent publishing, editorial, or creative background. Please also describe your ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team on deadline-driven projects.<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">3-5 sample pieces (combine into one PDF or GoogleDoc) related to the position you\u2019re applying for (e.g., poems or other relevant creative writing). These samples can be your own work, work from creators you admire, or a mixture (just be sure the pieces are properly labeled and credited). Please also include a brief statement on what you find interesting about the pieces you wish to share.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Be yourself! It\u2019s okay if you\u2019ve never edited a publication before. Share why you want this position, and how it fits with your personal and\/or professional goals.
