He pointed to Yazdiha\u2019s 2023 book, <a href=\"https:\/\/press.princeton.edu\/books\/paperback\/9780691246475\/the-struggle-for-the-peoples-king\"><em>The Struggle for the People\u2019s King: How Politics Transforms the Memory of the Civil Rights Movement<\/em><\/a> (Princeton University Press) as a notable example. Journalists have turned to her tweets as sources, reflecting Tongson\u2019s ability to distill complex thoughts into bite-sized insights.<\/p>\n<p>As co-host of the popular podcasts \u201cWaiting to X-Hale\u201d and \u201cGaymazing Race,\u201d Tongson\u2019s engaging narratives continue to draw and educate a diverse listenership.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Tongson also published a book, <a href=\"https:\/\/nyupress.org\/9781479843992\/normporn\/\"><em>NormPorn: Queer Viewers and the TV that Soothes Us<\/em><\/a> (NYU Press, 2023), that offers insight into the love-hate relationship between queer viewers and mainstream family TV shows such as <em>Gilmore Girls<\/em> and <em>This Is Us<\/em>.
