In the five years following Dana and David Dornsife’s visionary act of generosity, the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences has grown to set the example for other liberal arts schools, elevating students with “an education that prepares them to become leaders in most any endeavor.”
Eight exceptional seniors who aspire to make a positive impact on the world will receive scholarships to support their graduate or professional studies.

The lead gift for the Brain and Creativity Institute Building, which officially opened Nov. 6, came from longtime university supporters Dana and David Dornsife. Joyce Cammilleri donated funds for the performance hall.
The inaugural class of scholars will receive $10,000 prizes to be used for graduate or professional school studies.
The new designation combines the talents sought in USC’s Discovery, Renaissance and Global Scholars programs with an added emphasis on positive human impact.
Longtime supporters and international philanthropists Dana and David Dornsife have given a gift of $200 million to USC and a name to USC College. The heart of the university will be known forever as the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences after a community-wide celebration on March 23, 2011.
