They offer high contrast colors with wide viewing angles, fast response times, and thin, flexible structures.<\/p>\n<p>The basic OLED consists of thin organic layers angstroms in thickness, sandwiched between an anode and cathode. When a potential is applied, the injected positive and negative charges recombine in the emissive layer to produce light.
