See below:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_numerical_analysis_software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wikipedia&#8217;s list of numerical software programs<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nag.co.uk\/numeric\/numerical_libraries.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NAG Numerical Libraries<\/a>:\u00a0 A library of commercially available routines in a variety of programming languages.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/numerical.recipes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Numerical Recipes<\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Symbolic Computation<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.maplesoft.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maple<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wolfram.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mathematica<\/a>:\u00a0 Mathematica is supported by the <a href=\"\/mathcenter\/mathematica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Math Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/maxima.sourceforge.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GNU Maxima<\/a>:\u00a0 Other programs used for symbolic computations include Matlab (using the symbolic math toolbox) and Symbolic C++.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_computer_algebra_systems\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wikipedia&#8217;s list of computer algebra systems<\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Graphing<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gnuplot.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gnuplot<\/a>:\u00a0 An interactive graphing program.\u00a0 There is a version of Gnuplot, called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fnal.gov\/docs\/products\/gnuplot\/tutorial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GnuTeX<\/a> that outputs code in LaTeX\u2019s picture environment that can be inserted in a LaTeX document.<\/p>\n<p>Other programs that are used for graphing and representing data are all of the numerical computation, symbolic computation, and statistical software packages listed on this page.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_information_graphics_software\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wikipedia\u2019s list of graphing programs<\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Statistics<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.r-project.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">R<\/a> is an implementation of the S programming language and environment for statistical computing and graphics.\u00a0 It is a GNU project and is freely available for download.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/S-PLUS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-Plus<\/a> is a commercial implementation of the S programming language that was developed at Bell Labs for statistical computing and graphics.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sas.com\/technologies\/analytics\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SAS<\/a> is a powerful commercially available program used for statistical analysis.\u00a0\u00a0 It is available on the machines in the <a href=\"https:\/\/itservices.usc.edu\/spaces\/computingcenters\/\">ITS computer labs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.spss.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SPSS<\/a> is a commercially available program for statistical analysis.\u00a0 It is available on the machines in the <a href=\"https:\/\/itservices.usc.edu\/spaces\/computingcenters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ITS computer labs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Other programs used for statistical analysis include Matlab, GNU Octave, Stata, Minitab and Excel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_statistical_packages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wikipedia&#8217;s list of statistical packages<\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Optimization<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/plato.la.asu.edu\/guide.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Decision Tree for Optimization Software<\/a>: This site helps you identify ready-to-use software for your optimization problem.
