The Zhang lab conducts research at the interface of Chemistry, Biology and Medicine. Our work spans multiple disciplines, including synthetic organic chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology and drug design. Our lab has developed innovative and complementary approaches for discovering novel covalent ligands for protein and DNA targetsduring the past few years. Through intimate collaborations with the Bridge Institute and the Keck School of Medicine, we are currently applying these powerful approaches to the study of diverse protein families to accelerate the translational research at USC.
