We are a medicinal chemistry group interested in several specific research areas: DNA repair mechanisms and their potential for cancer therapeutics, design of nucleotide prodrugs for viral infections, selective bromodomain inhibition, and imaging probes for bone disease. We are also studying the mechanism of biological nitrogen fixation.

In our research we utilize the tools of bio-organic chemistry, spectroscopy, computer-aided ligand design and enzyme kinetics.

Our laboratory is engaged in collaborations with molecular and structural biologists, virologists, and other leading researchers throughout the world.
