Congrats, Anya – 2025 Fulbright Scholar!
We’re thrilled to celebrate our CURE alum, Anya Shah, who has been named a 2025 U.S. Fulbright Scholar!
Through the Fulbright Open Study/Research Award to the United Kingdom, she is conducting her project, Enhancing Early Detection of Lung Cancer through Multi-Modal Analysis, under the mentorship of Dr. Dominic Rothwell at the National Biomarker Centre, University of Manchester.
Her research focuses on improving early lung cancer detection by integrating analyses of circulating tumor cells and cell-free DNA from liquid biopsies, a multi-modal approach with potential to advance early detection strategies.
Anya has been in the UK for over two months, actively working in the lab with the CRUK team. Our director, Peter Kuhn, had the opportunity to visit and meet with her and Dr. Rothwell’s team, discussing collaborative efforts to further advance the project.
