\n Reading Sa-I-Gu: An Archive of Writings and Images on the 1992 Los Angeles Civil Unrest<\/a>\n <\/h3>\n\n\n<\/div>\n \n \n

This website, created by the UCLA Asian American Studies Center<\/strong>, features three important archives about Sa-I-Gu–commonly referred to as the LA Riots, the Rodney King Riots, or the LA Uprising. The archives include: The Korea Times<\/em><\/strong><\/a> English Edition (KTEE) articles, which were led during that time by veteran jounralist K.W. Lee;\u00a0KoreAm Journal<\/a><\/strong><\/em> articles (this journal ceased its print pulication in 2015 and was relaunched as KORE Magazine);<\/em> and\u00a0Amerasia Journal<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, a leading academic journal in Asian American studies. Amerasia Journal<\/em> published a series of articles, essays, commentaries, interviews and creative writings on Sa-I-Gu, and a selection of these materials are available on the website as an open access volume. In addition to these archival materials, the websie also provides multimedia content and educational resources on Sa-I-Gu.<\/p>\n
