He is also the founder and president of SoDAVi (Social Data Analysis and Visualization) Group, a non-profit organization which aims for providing data collection and analysis service to Korean-American community. His research interests include multimedia systems, databases, Big Data, image machine learning, and mobile media data management, where he has more than 100 publications including a textbook, patents, major journal papers, and top conference papers. Econometrics is a field of economics that studies data analysis. His econometrics research topics include panel data analysis, inference for partially identified econometric models, and nonstationary time series analysis. His application topics include SVARs, forecasting, empirical games, income dynamics, social interaction and networks, and the economics of education. Recently, he has broadened his research horizons into bio\/medical statistics and has published papers investigating global forecasting of COVID-19 infections and survival analysis of the clinical study of GV1001 for pancreatic cancer.<\/p>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">He was elected as a Fellow of the Econometric Society in 2023 and has been serving on the editorial boards of economics journals on both sides of the Pacific. In her creative research practice, she is utilizing smart materials, such as thermobimetals, to self-ventilate, self-shade, self-structure, self-assemble, and self-propel in response to changes in climatic temperatures\u2014all with zero-energy and no controls.
